Role Purpose
· The Senior Commercial Manager is responsible for procuring, negotiating, analyzing, preparing and administering consultancy contracts
· Financial monitoring and control of contracts - SLA’s, KPI’s, benchmarking and reporting.
· Work with the wider Company’s team departments/sectors in respect of commercial management.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for the management and co-ordination of The Project policies, processes, procedures (SOP’s) and operating systems.
· Design and articulate through to activation internal (Company) and external (Service Partner) Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
· Work closely with the Director of Operations Support for application of all policies, processes, SOP’s, systems and measurement tools to support audit, commercial compliance and international/ local standards
· Implement business plans and strategies for The Project to promote the attainment of project goals
· Assist in the organization and coordination of operations to ensure maximum productivity
· Provide oversight of the work of consultants and provide feedback to improve efficiency and effectiveness
· Maintain and foster relationships with Company stakeholders, service partners and external agencies
· Gather, analyze and interpret external and internal data
· Assess overall company performance against objectives
· Risk assessments
· Resolving contractual and commercial problems
· Management/mentoring/training of the departments junior staff
· Ensure commercial management of The Project contracts aligned with Company policies is executed and reported to external audit standard
· Ensure adherence to legal rules and guidelines
· Be responsible for the production of monthly and annual reports
· Works collaboratively with entire Operations team to meet overall goals and objectives.
Background, Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Experience in a similar Commercial Management role
- Knowledge of SOP’s, KPI’s and Service Level Agreements in multi-service industries
- Commercial management experience including contracts and complex financial analysis for supply contracts
- Strong administrative, reporting and presentation skills
Desirable:
- Internal and external benchmarking
- Middle East experience
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or closely related major, master’s degree In business administration (MBA) from an accredited university and 20+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
